In-Mould Labelling (IML) - Labels moulded into plastic surfaces
92,00 kr
In-mould labels are moulded into surfaces during plastic injection moulding. The labels are pre-printed in photo quality on plastic or paper film and placed on the inner mould surface prior to the plastic injection. The label fuses with the molten plastic (e.g. PP, PE, or PS) and becomes an integral part of the product. This means the label can't be peeled off and is resistant to scratches.
Used for:
IML is traditionally used for buckets and containers for food packaging, such as yogurt cups, cheese packages, and margarine containers. It has also become a popular method of decorating injection-moulded parts for consumer products (called "in-mould decoration - IMD").

Details:
IML eliminates subsequent labeling steps and all associated equipment and labor. Containers with in-mould labels are also easy to recycle if the label and the container are of the same material. The process can also be used for blow moulding and thermoforming.
All samples come with a laminated information card.
