Porous Aluminium - Porous material with the mechanical properties of a solid
92,00 kr
Aluminium powder is bound with epoxy to form a micro-porous composite material. It is very easy to machine, and machining will not affect the air-permeability.
Used for:
It is used for vacuum clamping tables and fixtures, moulds for vacuum forming, air cushion surfaces, filters, and silencers. The material is porous throughout, so it is not necessary to drill holes for vacuum suction.
Details:
Porous aluminium is available with different porosities in dimensions up to 50 cm x 50 cm x 5 cm. Multiple pieces can be joined together to create larger structures. The high-temperature grade has an upper operating temperature of 210°C and a thermal conductivity of 19.1 W/m·K. Porous aluminium can be cooled rapidly by blowing air through it.
The sample:
The sample measures 10 mm x 45 mm x 45 mm. The sample material has a density of 1.8 g/cm³ and a porosity volume of 15 percent. You can see the tiny pores if you look at the cut sides of the sample.
All samples come with a laminated information card.
